Mission to Brand Services

For startups, small businesses and other organizations on the sustainability path, R.Bruer Company offers a brand development methodology we call Mission to Brand™.

This strategic, affordable approach provides organizations the advantage of a brand identity rooted in clear purpose, sound research, competitive distinction and customer relevance. Mission to Brand services — which are easily adapted and scaled to your organization’s size, goals and resources — consists of four primary phases:

  1. Mission review
  2. Brand definition
  3. Message development
  4. Plan development

Mission review

Your mission gives purpose to your business and organization. We stress clarity of mission because it is the fundamental starting point for all branding and marketing that follows. We will lead a review of your existing mission statement and, if needed, help you revise it.

Brand definition

This phase includes:

  • analysis of your existing branding and marketing activity and materials
  • research to gauge your image or reputation
  • evaluation of competitive branding and marketing
  • brand charrette to define your brand attributes

This phase culminates in an inspiring brand identity statement that stakes claim to what makes you unique and why you matter as a business or organization. The statement becomes the basis for developing new business or product names, visual identity, key messages and marketing and communications strategies. It also guides the internal behaviors and practices that fulfill your promise as a brand.

Message creation

This phase produces a framework of key messages based on your mission, goals and brand and tailored to each stakeholder group.

Plan development

With your mission, brand and messages clearly defined, we’ll help you construct a strategic plan for rolling out your brand internally and externally and for ongoing marketing and communications.

Mission to Brand benefits

Through our work together you’ll resolve:

  • what and who your business or organization is
  • how you are relevant to your stakeholders
  • how you are favorably differentiated from your competitors
  • what you want your stakeholders to experience from and know about you
  • what marketing and communications strategies best support your mission and brand

We can extend these benefits through the services of our Sustainable Branding Collaborative, where you’ll gain the advantage of a brand promise authentically delivered across your business.
